I am a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist specializing in both psychotherapy (CBT, interpersonal, psychodynamic, and more) and pharmacological treatment. My approach is deeply empathic, and I am committed to helping my patients navigate life's challenges while addressing psychiatric symptoms. Whether through therapy or medication, I work with each individual to create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with their needs and goals. Medications are prescribed thoughtfully and only when necessary, always with attention to my patients' concerns and overall well-being. Over time, my goal is to guide patients toward positive change and improved mental health.
Currently, I serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone Health, and I am a faculty member at the NYU School of Medicine. During my fellowship at NYU, I developed a course called Weed: The Science and Psychology of Marijuana, which I continue to teach to undergraduate students at the NYU College of Arts & Science in Manhattan.
I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including as a psychiatrist at Steven A. Cohen’s Military Family Clinic at NYU Langone, where I provided mental health care to veterans and their families. I also have experience treating adolescents with substance use issues at the Center for Living in Manhattan. Currently, I am a clinician in Bellevue Hospital’s Children’s Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CCPEP), where I manage psychiatric emergencies and support families and patients during times of crisis. I enjoy teaching medical students, psychiatry residents and fellows in the emergency room.
I am here to support you with your mental health concerns. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I am based in New York City and offer virtual appointments for your convenience.
